Default O/T - Henderson, Rice make HOF

Posted By: Jimi

How about Wilbur Wood? happy.gif Heck he had 4 straight seasons in the 70s with 20 wins and one of those years with a 1.91 ERA.

I always thought that the 1968 Topps Ryan RC had a lot of experience on it.....huh? Heck the other guy on the card is Jerry Koosman, who played 19 years in the bigs. That means there is 46 years of experience on that one card alone! Koosy won 20+ games twice with 222 wins and had over 2,500 K's. So let's see that's like 530+ wins and 8,200 K's on one card. Not too shabby!

All in fun on with Koosman and Wood, but I had to bring it up since someone told me yesterday they actually felt that since Bill Matlock had won the National League batting title 4 times in his career that he deserved in the Hall.

Just because you string a handful of good years together doesn't mean you get put in the Hall.

Jimi

Always looking for T222 Fatimas!
