I don't like this, look at the back shot and you can see the front overlapping at the top. Also the photo quality is horrible. Dan. |

Funny how the seller knows a LOT about the card but only started the auction at $9.99. Also funny how it was only a one day auction and listed only a few days before Christmas. |

The stamp on the back appears to be on the same angle and font type as the REA example. The seller seems to be a consignment shop and starts everything at $9.99 and most of their other auctions are 1 day as well. Any chance it is real and the winner joe725 got real lucky? |

The collector who bought the original is a close friend and he will never sell it. |

lakers44- thanks for joining our forum but please be careful about what you say and being able to stay anonymous. Unfortunately, there is a need to not let even mildly strong opinions be stated while staying anonymous. In other words if you say you do, or don't, like something then you will need to put your name and good email out here. Heck, I don't even know if you care about being anonymous.... |

Since the real one is the only 1 ever sold, and I don't care who bought it or who he is friends with or if he is keeping it or not, he got a DYNAMITE piece that no one can put a value on but the owner of it. He has my salute!!! and in any economy. Dan. |

I messaged the seller before the auction ended. It was about the same size as the one sold in REA and the seller told me the card came with a 30 day money back guarantee, which is the policy for every item they sell. The seller also told me the person who actually owned the card refused to get the card authenticated and that the stamp on the back appeared printed and not actually stamped. All this led me to believe the card is a fake. However, with the 30 day return that is plenty of time to find out for sure and return it. Really the buyer didn't take a huge risk, he'll just have to pay for grading fees and shipping. If the item is real he wins the lottery. |

I tried to compare the two - the REA one and the Ebay one and the one that was on ebay does not have very good resolution, but to me it looks as if the corners could have been "rebuilt" through photoshop. |

I agree. The eBay one looks like a copy of the REA with the corners rebuilt. |

In my opinion, though i generally hesitate to make one based on a scan, it is 100% fake. The card has the exact same appearance as many of the fake goudey and bread cards that are coming off craig's list. To me it looks very little like the REA item in photo quality as well as color, registration, and even the stock looks different. I wouldnt have bought it for $20 even with a full money back gaurantee, you will still be out the grading and shipping money and like I said In my opinion 100% fake. |

As far as authenticity goes, in my opinion, all you really need to do is ask yourself two questions; if the seller knew SOOOOOOOO much about the card and had it listed in the proper category then why was it only a one day auction and more importantly, WHY DID THE OWNER REFUSE TO GET IT GRADED? |

Only an idiot will be wasting grading fees on this item. I believe that all of us would know immediately after having it in our own hands that it is a fake. Why send it to a grading service that for that?? You lose shipping to and from the seller, that is it but it will be lost, as this item is fake 100% as stated above. |

You can tell it's a fake on a glance. |
