I'm sure some of you know all of this information, but I thought this was a short and sweet little piece about Mel Ott. This was written by one of the old-timer reporters at the newspaper I work for in Lafayette, LA and was published today. |

Ott was a truly great player of the 20th century that has been forgotten- much like the teams he played for and the ballpark he played in. |
