Jeff, a few years ago they added the second version of thw 1923-24 Powell to the SCD (the one with the stands). I have been wondering the same thing as you, as I was always under the assumption that the one with stands was 1921 and the one with them blacked out was the 1923-24. I have no idea what prompted them (SCD)to make the addition, as I think the card with stands is always a 1921 card. |

I have never seen a Powell with stands with no border. If one exists that would make sense, but I wouldn't necessarily trust a pic on cardpricer or anything like that as it may just be a crop job. |

Rhett that is why I asked if anyone has an actual scan of an actual '21 Powell they own with stands and NO border. I am not saying that is not the answer to the question, but in 20+ years of collecting Exhibits, I have never seen one. |

Thought I would take one more shot @ this. Can anyone provide a scan of a borderless Raymond Powell (Stands in Background) Exhibit that purports to be from 1921. Still trying to figure out if the bordered Stands in Background is actually the 1921 copy and that the dark background the "only" '23'24 version. Thanks. |

I am certain is the 1921. Virtually every Powell card I've ever seen has been stands in BG. I have never seen one of either format without a border. |

My 1921 Powell has the stands and a border...I would provide a scan, but a couple others already have. |

Thanks for the feedback. I guess no one has a Stands in Background borderless 1921 Exhibit. At a minimum I would say that if one exists there are a lot of "complete" 1921 Exhibit sets that aren't. Until I see a scan, I remained unconvinced, thx again. |

I'm not sure if the winner is one of "them", but he has won several over the past few months at really high prices (at least I think they are). Note: he did beat another whale, which helped to push the price way up. |

Winner is a whale for sure and I bet he has no idea its a 23-24, he has been paying big bucks for the highest graded in many exhibit sets, has paid over 1k for a psa 6 1934 common, two whales were bidding, lol. |
