Default An ebay thief who got caught

To move on --seems the wife was an indicted co-conspirator. I am presuming when she married her husband she was and is aware of his "financial" status at all times. I read the case history -- and she was declared "indigent" by the court. Means she had nothing to speak of save the clothes on her back.

Now-- someone who had nothing has a spouse come up to them and declare they have checks in their possession for $29,000+. The spouse asks them to cash checks and/or throw the money in the bank.

My question-- why would they ask her to do put the checks in the bank-- were their own fingers broken?? Even ex-cons can cash checks-- no crime in doing so.

Why would she not immediately get suspicious of a husband with a "miraculous" $30,000 showing up?? Especially considering her indigent state where she had nothing to speak of? How could she sit there and expect the average person off the street to even begin to understand her thought process cashing the checks??

We can't-- it makes no sense to the guy off the street becuase we don't think like criminals-- thats why.

I see the court cut her no slack at all. Seems hubby instigated the scam and with his priors he's gone to the DOC. Seems she got caught and pled a felony down to a misdemeanor with restitution.

Seems both got what you deserved-- and to be honest--she was lucky she pled out. I see she's still married to him-- lucky her

Now she can come back and try to explain her thought process-- and how she reasoned it out-- and maybe--just maybe--- I'll cut some slack to her. However-- the public humiliation and whipping she is enduring on a hobby board related to this theft is EXACTLY what she deserves. Its a byproduct of her continued bad choices in life. She needs to learn to LIVE WITH IT.

She'll recover-- perhaps in a few years-- perhaps never. The same cannot be said to the unfortunate people she ripped off. They have to endure the never ending psychological damage her and the scamming husband caused. Think they trust people now? Think they will trust people in the future?

Trust is ALWAYS earned-- its not given. Same with respect--- and that lady has not earned either in my book.

What she earned from me was my pity for her poor life choices, she earned my lack of sympathy for her punishment dealt in the situation-- and last she now gets my total lack of respect for actually coming on this board and treating its innocent readers to a tongue lashing none deserved.

The readers & commenter's were giving her the additional byproducts of a life spent making poor choices.

If she's smart-- she'll learn not to come on a hobby board to defend an undefendable situation. Just LIVE WITH IT-- and maybe-- just maybe-- learn from it.

Jeff
