I came across a 1948 Leaf Phil Rizzuto card, my question is it seems to have tape going across top and bottom about a 1/4 inch! (probably some kid had it taped to wall back in the day) do you think that there is a way to remove it without damaging card! The corners look nice and it has no creases, a tad off centered! I am scared if i try and remove it will take the card front with it! Any recommendations? Or should i just leave it as is? I was told this might be a good place to find some help! |

I understand that toluene is a solvent for typical tape adhesive. |

If that goo has stained the card then the stain will most likely always be there. Nothing necessarily wrong with that. |

After applying a drop or two of Un-Do. Use the edge of a credit card, not the Un-Do scraper, to "push off" the adhesive (don't apply pressure to the card surface). Lightly dab baby powder to the remnants to keep card from sticking to the holder. |
