I guess my problem (well it's not really a problem) with your interpretation is that as long as these threads have been posted (and I expect that goes back many years even before me) I have never heard that interpretation raised.

Every month (sometimes even before the end of the month)or when the thread reaches 40-50 posts, someone starts a new thread. They are started chronologically and have reached as high as 6th as I recall.

Now for me or anyone else to have to know that the item I want to show off was the 4th item or the 5th or the 6th that I acquired during that particular month seems like an unnecessary exercise.
