Boxingcardman has the concept pretty well correct. State of California itself does not license but if effect most all local municipalities do which in effect makes it required to do business in California. Also some counties require licensing (example San Diego County). Generally the license is issued using your Social security number or a FEIN number. If you do not have the license, you are illegally doing business. The fees are nominal so GAI should be able to afford them. Ignorance of the law is no excuse either. |
