The PSA pop report shows this is one of the hardest issues to obtain in PSA 8 or better. I bought 6 15 years ago raw and got 3 7s and 3 6s. Here is a 7. |

the E 121s and E 120s are very hard to find in PSA 8 and above. In fact they are almost non-existent. There are only 3 PSA 8s of the E120s graded (I happen to have one of them) and a handful more of the E121s graded 8 or higher. In fact you would have a hard time building a PSA 5 or better of the E121 set as many of the cards have no examples graded higher than PSA 5. In reality you would probably have to settle for PSA 4s and above (and that would still be a challenge) unless you ran across a big hoard of sweet condition 1920's Caramels. the prices of these cards in decent shape have really started to take off as collectors are realizing how challenging these are to find in decent shape. I really like the E121s and E120s. |

Thats a nice looking card and you did real well to buy 6 raw and get 3 7s and 3 6s in that set. |

It obviously has something to do with the paper stock used. Those 1920's cards are thin and different than cards from other eras. |

a E121 Babe Ruth in psa 7(this is tied for highest grade with an 84 in sgc) went for $23.2k in 2006 REA auction. what do you think a ty cobb e121 in sgc 88 goes for(its also tied for highest grade with a psa 8)? signed fessgreg |

question...are these still considered cards, even though they feature a photograph of the player? |

i would say yes. the old judges are photos and the cards from the 50's have players photos on them. hi mvsnyc. how is your t206 collection coming along. what do you think of novella's psa 8 cards. signed fessgreg |

mvsnyc i thought the question was kind of odd but you never know how people react. personally i like the t206's better than the t205's. the white border shows off better than the gold. however you're still in some t206's. it seems like the t205's are more expensive than the t206's and probably rarer. hope your wallet is ready. have you bought any t205's lately and if so tell me about them. as for the 1921 e121 american carmel card do you have any thoughts. i bought the 1921 e121 ty cobb in sgc 88 from bmw. i'm trying to get an idea on the set and what some of the better cards are worth. signed fessgreg |
