Jim -- the harder it is to find those cards in ultra-high grade, the greater the incentive to try and make it happen. When you have a T205 PSA 8 population one common selling for $5k and up...the incentives are aligned for potential alterers to try really hard to get something past PSA/SGC/GAI...and the risk (e.g. the grading fee) is a pittance compared to the potential reward.
