I got one today. About an unpaid item, yea right. I know it was a fake because i pay right away for my stuff and Google Mail threw it in the Spam section.

I receive at least one a week. Always follow the advice I learned here. Check your ebay My Messages. If it is legit it will be on there. If not forward as spoof.

I also forward mine to "spam@ebay.com".

Sometimes I go to the site anyway and type in fake user id's and passwords. Most of id's and passwords I type in consist of pretty nasty words too.

Just watch out on clicking the fake email and going to the site and typing anything in. Those emails are know to unleash viruses by just clicking on them.

The best way to feret out these scumbags is to move your cursor (mouse) over the link (don't click it) they want you to click to and in the bottom right corner of your computer it will show the name of the site where you would be headed. It 99% of the time on fakes will not be an "ebay" or "paypal" link.

If it isn't in your messages folder in My Ebay it's a fake.
