That may be the worst looking Ruth signature I have ever seen. I have very little idea about autographs but I have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of Ruth auto's, and never one like that.... |

That has to be one of the worst Babe Ruth autographs I have every seen, Babe's penmanship was exceptional. |

Real ball, not old. Real cube. A good ball for kids in a back yard... The posts above are correct. Don't pay over $2 for it. |

IMHO, authentic signature of George "Babe" Ruth, the butcher; not the authentic signature of "Babe" Ruth the baseball player. Babe the Blue Ox could have done better. |

This is probably the second worst Ruth forgery only after the Ruth forgery that came with the pictures of NY City that was posted on eBay three or four times a couple of years back. |

if you notice the autograph is similar to the other writing just a bit, also were is the spalding stamp - none of the pictures show this important feature. I do not think Geo. before Babe Ruth would be common either, making the ball even more suspect to a forgery, sense most of those types of autographs would be in collections - most likley a scam. I have not had much luck with craigslist. Could be just an old ball that was marked at a game that was passed along through family. |

The capital R in Ruth and the capital R at the end of SCHUSTER are too similar, especially where it tails down and curves to the left. The B in Babe and BALL are also alike, near the center where the circles meet. |

It kind of reminds me of the scene in "Sandlot" where Benny signs the replacement Ruth ball they buy at the drug store. Alteast Benny's ball looked more like an old spalding ball from the 60s. I think his Ruth sig as ugly as it was looks better too. The ball is definitely newer and the sig looks like a 12 year old did it. |
