And I thought of Colgans Chips as gum cards, since the "chips" were flavored gum. Was always kinda tickled that the first baseball gum cards were from Kentucky... |

What about e91's? Nothing like seeing the same face over and over for different players. |

I beg your pardon, Leon. Somewhere I have an article about Colgans, not the cards, the pharmacist, the guy who bought the railroad car of chicle and decided to add flavoring, so he could sell it for people to chew. I have that article somewhere, it was in Louisville's newspaper, the Courier Journal. My recollection is that Colgan was the first guy to add flavoring to gum... |

Is the E95 and E96 combo meant to be a handicap? |

And Brian is getting run right over....as I am throwing him under it...Don't know why the handicap.....Personally of those two I like E96 but there's no Cobby or Matty...the red backs are cool though....and some of he E96 poses are very cool and more scarce too....a little better than the E95's, imo....but this is like chocolate and vanilla.....just depends on which you like better....Don't know why they were necessarily lumped.... |

While E96 is definitely scarcer(which is a disadvantage for the set to me) E95's are a bit better looking IMO. With the strong showing of HOF's and a little more ease in collecting I went with E95 over collecting E96, though i would love to add Baker, Brown, Tinker or Clarke to my collection which are all great looking non portraits of HOF'ers. Funny thing is I think they are arguably my favorite cards in the set and it had nothing to do with them being HOF'ers i just thought the poses and colors were really cool. |

"I really hate the issues with generic depictions of ballplayers that bear no resemblence to the specific player named - because those are stupid"? |

Query: If more people who voted in the poll voted for "don't like caramel cards" than the total number who picked E94s as their favorite set, how come so many people bid against me whenever E94s come up? |
