1976: Chris Chambliss's walk-off HR to win the pennant for the Yankees. I was 11 years old, a rabid fan, and watching late into the night. It was the first pennant they'd won in my then short life and I was thrilled. Less than three months later my family moved to Los Angeles. While I've enjoyed lots of sporting events since then, nothing quite compared to that. |
