This is the most common of the four Babe Ruth cards in the 1933 Goudey set and is offered for sale frequently. A total of 32 have been graded NM-MT 8 to date by PSA. There are a couple of them being offered on eBay currently: |

good job. i didn't look for every auction like you did. what do you think a 1933 sgc 8 lou gehrig canadian goudey would go for. it looks like the 1933 #92 regular goudey. A regular would probably go for 12 to 15k in 8. There are no 9's in my card just another psa 8. I bought it for 17.25k. goodwin told me it would probably go for 22k. It's the world wide gum card. Do you have any info. And i'd still like to talk to the author of this thread. greg |

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't have the card, but was interested in the ones currently on ebay. The less expensive one looks a bit off center to me, so I'm a bit concerned with the $18,900 price. Thoughts? |

From what can see they are both a little OC...The one that is 22/23K does have an issue with the top right corner and I don't like the bottom right corner either.... Which would definatly lead me toward the less $$$ Card! |

There are much fewer collectors of World Wide Gum cards than the American version. Even though they are much scarcer, the fact there are much fewer collectors of the WWG makes them go cheaper. |

See your point on non superstarts for WWG cards. But there's a lot of collectors of Lou Gehrig,Babe Ruth,Joe DiMaggio, etc. So that's why I bought it. And it is finest known. Plus it looks like the American Goudey #92 Lou Gehrig. I guess that could be good or bad, depending on your perspective. I want to thank you for responding to my message. Signed Greg |
