Met these ladies at The Pasadena Convention Center around 1994. They obviously were capitalizing on the Tom Hanks film released around then. At that time they were last living players from WWII era womens baseball league. Lovely ladies holding court, telling tales and genuinely having a good time! I did not know (then) they were already in the MLB HOF. I think I have an autographed ball somewhere as well. They were getting on in 1994 and as we approach 2007, I wonder if they are still with us. Hopefully so. |
