Bruce- Wolfgang's was the one I was thinking of. Wolfgang was a longtime waiter at Peter Luger's who left to start his own restaurant, serving the same aged porterhouse as Luger's did. That aside, I think this thread has lost its direction. So far all we have done is list every good steakhouse in the city. Now that we have about ten choices and no date picked, how on earth do we narrow it down to one date and one place? Any ideas? Michael Jordan's is a breeze for me since I can walk to the IRT and get off at Grand Central, but it doesn't have to be that. I motion to form a committee to decide which restaurant to go to, and suggest December 9 at 7:00 PM wherever we end up. But it's just a suggestion. |
