Won 4 non-card lots. In attendance. All the Deacon stuff was STRONG STRONG STRONG. Beautiful stuff if you could see it in person.

Feel pretty confident a board member or two got the multi-Goodwin lots (described oddly enough as Allen & Ginter)

I only bid on one lot and got beat.....Someone got a great deal on these ticket stubs....wish I would have seen them, but I didn't take a real close look at this auction.

I do not think the sale prices on the web site include the 15% buyers premium.
Some of the graded card prices were nuts.

There were also some very low prices IMHO. A lot that had an E90-3 Chance (albeit one that would grade AUTH/POOR), sold for under 300.

I actually dont think that the e93 cobb went that high (certainly higher than I can afford though). Although it ended up selling as part of a set rather than individually, the e93 SGC 84 cobb in the last mastro premier auction received bids over $42,000.

JK I remember that but on the other hand, Memory Lane sold a 60 for around 6000 in their last auction.

I think part if it is due to E93s getting real hot in the last year. Ive also noticed generally that there has been a big difference in price (more than what you would normally expect) between the 60s and 80s.

The E93 Cobb was hammered at 24K plus 3.6K for the buyer's premium, total 27.6K. Think it was bought in the room. There were few bids on the floor except for the Cobb, the Wagner E103 and the N28 Anson. I think the first two went to a single bidder who I believe is from PA and the last one went to a younger guy who I hadn't seen before.

to be honest i wasn't a huge fan of their service. i called twice to confirm what lots i was registered for to bid by phone, and they were a little "snooty" that i "forgot", and then when they finally called me during the auction, the guy on the phone, was very laid-back, and not keeping me abreast of the bidding, before i knew it, all i heard was the auctioneers voice muffled, 1100, 1200, 1300, etc...and the guy on the phone was not keeping me up to the second with the current bid amount! the hammer hit and i didn't really get a chance to bid, the second lot i was on, was bid up very fast and same thing, he was like "well do you want to bid or not, you have to pay attention"...so i was so turned-off i said no bid...i happily won nothing from them.

much better service with Heritage phone bidding, and Mastro's...

p.s. the lots i was bidding-on: the 1915 game one WS stub (ruth's first WS AB, which the description didn't even say)...and the 1919 stub, which was very ruff anyway...

no biggie, there are plenty of other auctions coming up, where i will bid fiercely!

I've always had good luck in bidding with Hunts and find their customer service to be excellent. I reserved phone lines to bid on 10 lots and won 4. The people who called were pleasant-the women were perhaps more friendly but the gentleman was very professional.

These prices are significantly higher than the average PSA 7 sales I've seen in the past two-three years.

I had guessed the 53 would go around $17-$20 and the 149 would go around $10-$14.

The E93 Cobb SGC 80 was bonkers.

Just won the one item. Having talked with them three times on the phone, I thought their customer service was good, although when I called on Friday to comfirm that they had my correct numbers and everything was good to go -- which is something I would do for any "meeting" that is scheduled a few weeks in advance -- the lady in the Pennsylvania office was a little confused by what I was trying to do...just confirming. I am sure all their high level people were in Louisville by that time. I should have confirmed on Thursday or before. All-in-all customer service was good. I think one thing that may have made it hard was the Hunt caller was forced to whisper. At one point I told him "Yes" on the next bid only to have him tell me I was already the high bid. I had heard the auctioneer ask for the next amount and just said "Yes." It just took one bid to win the lot shown below, since a FAXed bid started it off at a healthy amount. I bid on the e90-2 Wagner and put in three or four bids by the time I finally said "No." A floor bidder got that one. The process was pretty simple though. My Caller would simply say "$,x,xxx to you" and all I needed to do was give him a Yes or No Answer.

didn't mean to bash Hunt, but i have had MUCH better service with Mastro's, REA, Heritage, SCP...the woman at Heritage was awesome, very quick and on point, was a pleasure!

and living in Louisville, was there on Saturday all day. I think that they kind of button up the office pretty early on Wed or Thursday on one of their normal auctions and I know they were all in Louisville on Wed or Thursday as there was a cocktail party on Thursday night for previewing the stuff. Plus they had an appraisal fair on Wed / Thur..........

Always like their customer service and am pleased with the lots I got and what I had to pay........

I've never talked with anyone on the phone at Hunt's, but I have won stuff from them and I can say that they are the fastest auction house at getting stuff out to you. The last DiMaggio estate auction they had I got my stuff in less than two weeks after the auction was over. They didn't even have all of the LOAs ready to go and they mailed them out a week later. They have outstanding service in my estimation.

I actually won the e90-2 Wagner to finally get my upgrade. Also won the lot of e98's which were mislabled as e93's. All of my bids were via email and for what that's worth, it went fine for me. PS: Cat, thanks for bidding up the Wagner

I came away the happy winner of lot #846, the 4 Deacon White Cabinets. It was worth the drive (5-6hrs) just to see the Deacon White material in person before it was broken up.
