Steve, I was the member who emailed you on Ebay & told you about BVG. I have I think 10 Fro Joy's slabbed by PSA, SGC, & BVG. I have three Ruth Portraits, one PSA & two BVG. The only portrait card that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling is the one slabbed by PSA. Not because its PSA graded, but because of that gut instinct that develops over time. I now believe there are some excellent Fro Joy reprints out there that look good under a microspope, that are photo engraved with the vintage looking ink & cardboard. I'm not 100% sure that someone did somehow duplicate the vintage printing, but I think that's why PSA, SGC, & GAI stopped grading them. |
