Trae, I understand that rationale. My point of view is that if I am a seller does it make good sense in a way to limit the number of potential bidders on any particular item through the payment mechanism? If nearly all of the people who bid on vintage type items have PayPal then it is not really an issue. The immediate access to funds is a strong incentive but that assumes that everyone who has access to PayPal pays immediately. Maybe that is the case. It seems like in Leon's example above that was and is the case. |
