How much would some of you pay for a PSA 8 T206 Common?

Some of us would pay an awful lot. I think the price fluctuates quite a bit based on how many have been graded 8 or better. In some cases an 8 is a 1 of 1.

The one I'm looking at is a 1 of 1 PSA 8 that is on eBay of Kroh, Chicago....It is currently at $760. It has some small spots on the back. Also, there are none higher in the PSA registry.

A PSA 8 that is 1 of 1 is likely to skyrocket above $760. My guess is 3K-5K. I don't think it is worth it, but that is the reality.

Barry's right. You can't touch these things for less than multiple-thousands. Curious to see what the PSA 9 that Joe/Tim have, will fetch.

The batch of 8's that they have up right now are some great cards, but the savvy buyer that goes for the card versus the holder would tell you that some of those 8's are better than the 9, and some of those 8's are better than the other 8's.

Most T206 PSA 8's with average Pop reports sell for around 1500.00. Low pops are way to out of hand to keep track of , but most of the really low pops have sold for 3500-5000. Southern Leaguers are even more out of hand with 8's selling for 4000-5000 and some low pop sevens hitting 3000.
There are quite a few set collectors working on high grade sets, so I expect these prices will continue for sometime.

In the past year there have been quite a few PSA 8's sold in auction. At VCP we have this new feature that is nice you can now search for all auctions ended in a grade by grader right from the set profile. Makes it easier to find comparable prices. Here is some of the prices realized. Who ever said the $1000.00 range is kidding themselves if they think they can get one of these for that price.

When you look at those prices and calculate what it would cost to put together a high grade set of 520 cards (not to mention the four rarities) you better have an awfully large bankroll and a strong stomach.

Unbelieveable prices on T206 common PSA 8s. I bought a bunch of 8s about 2-3 years ago and didn't pay more than $550 for any of them - some less than $400. Hard to believe they have appreciated this quickly.
