SGC grading question (possible dumb question)

I doubt a card with a pencil mark could get better than a 30....and that's if it was ex or better...otherwise I think it would be lower. However, if you can erase the pencil mark and leave no indention, and no one can tell it was ever there....I am sure they won't downgrade for it...
