Football photos from the 20's through the 60's were typically contrived; jump passes, stiff arms, and kick follow-throughs were the norm. This one is the best (worst) that I have ever seen. The guy on the 1933 Diamond Matchbook looks as if he was shot from a sling. My favorite baseball shot is Germany Schaefer's Dietsche postcard (sorry, don't have a scan available) |
