I was just wondering, loudly..........

I started a thread a little while ago which also asked the question of what is known of the origins of collecting sportscards, and was really very surprised how little seems to be understood of the times and issues.

So, I'm wondering, loudly, and repeatedly............

Would it be possible, through some nationally syndicated medium such as the USA today newsapaper, or internet site such as Yahoo, to have them run an "interest" column that asks readers to email with stories relating to the early history of things..like...sportscards?
I'm sure they could come up with other interest areas and it could be a daily or weekly quest, and all the stories gathered and passed on to the specific forums who have the time and will to cipher through them and flesh out the respective histories.

Probably not doable, but who thinks it a good idea?
