If John Lennon was alive today, he'd be just like Bob Dylan. An ignored, brilliant musician for his time and basically ignored in today's music scene. We overvalue those who perish young with the assumption that the potential is there. As a society, didn't we overvalue the likes of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe? My two cents, Beatle fan and Prewar hit it on the head and made some valid points regardless if this is a Baseball Forum or a Beatle Forum or a Lord Of The Rings Forum. |
