I am amazed at the lack of information that is provided for this great. Additionally, there is an amazing lack of cards of Mr. Heilmann. Playing from 1914-1932 couldn't have helped his card production, but there seems to be a mostly barren wasteland of Heilmann cards out there. Can someone explain this? Please post your playing era Heilmann cards! |

If he didn't take so long to learn how to hit (4-6 yrs.), he would have some fantastic stats. Even with the very slow start, he is avove .340 lifetime, with half of his career having double digit triples and 40+ doubles. |

I don't have a vintage card of Harry, but I know there are a couple Zeenuts and quite a few exhibit cards of him. He inconveniently started his career just as the golden era of tobacco cards was ending, and he retired just a year before the first golden era of bubble gum cards began. The exhibit cards of the 1920s are quite nice, much more attractive in my opinion than the more common ones from the 40s, 50s and 60s. And while they're not exactly cheap, they're still reasonably affordable. Harry also shows up in the 1940 Play Ball set, just eight years after the end of his career ... |

Heilmann has two real nice looking cards from the E121 set. I will post some scans tonight. |

Not a card, but large 30 inch X 40 inch photo produced by Detroit News 1930's. A great photo. |

Harry was the last AL righty to bat .400 [ .403 in 1923]. He also hit .393, .394 and .398 in the 1920s! |

Here is my e121 with the tougher name mispelled variation. Stole this gem on eBay a few years ago for $12. |
