Default 1921-24 Exhibit Question

Posted By: Hal Lewis

Good question.

From 1921 to 1922, they switched from putting "Am. L." on the cards to "A.L."...

but I don't know if that was ONLY for the NEW players who were added to the set in 1922, or whether they actually made new cards as well for the 64 people who were in the 1921 set.

Anyone know for sure??

-------------------

Then, there is the 1923/24 set, on which I know that the NEW players who were added have the "A.L." desigation... but again, what about the guys from the 1921 set??

--------------

It looks to me like the 1921 set and the 1923 set have the team and league designation in SMALLER block letters that have a TILT to them...

whereas the team and league designation on the 1922 cards are a little bit bigger and STRAIGHT UP and down.

And it says that there are team changes and so forth as well.

SO....

if I am correct...

a guy like Babe Ruth should have the following:

1921 Exhibit - Says "Am.L." in small tilted print

1922 Exhibit - Says "A.L." in straight vertical print

1923/24 Exhibit - Also says "A.L."... but in small tilted print
