Deciding on which $2600 bid to recognize is at the discretion of the auctioneer. It is the same as if the bid is $2500 and then two live bidders bid $2600, the auctioneer has to decide which $2600 bid to recognize. In this instance the auctioneer chose the live bid over the absentee bid. Normally a live bidder will have an advantage over an absentee bid or a telephone bidder. |
