The fact that John Wayne wasn't in a TV show at the time the rest of the guys in the pic were? |

Age groupings don't look right to me. But I guess that's not what you found, but that still could be a cut and paste photograph. I wouldn't think that PSA would be concerned about whether a photograph is technically "real" or not - just that the signatures were real. |

the shows represented were 1960s and even 1970s shows (I have the full set of Kung Fu cards...it was a 1970's show). The Clayton Moore stuff was earlier. Also, I don't think that is a live image of Wayne. He had lung cancer and was probably thin as a rail or dead by the time this image would have been made. Perhaps a wax statue? |

That may be Michael Ansara's photo and it may be his sig for all I know but he never played Tonto, to my knowledge. He was on a show called Broken Arrow. |

So are you saying that the signatures are not authentic, or are they just not signed in the right place on the photo? |

Scott - the picture is Jack Kelly, yet the photo is signed Gene Barry, who is nowhere in the picture. |

This looks a Gregg Marino special. This something that Marino did all the time. He would sign a ball that couldn't have been signed by a player or actor because they where dead before the ball was produced. He would spell there name wrong. Frank Sinatraa ,Harbo Marx John Lenon and people never looked. |

Here we have Gene Barry's autograph, when he is not in the picture. Here we have Shelly telling us that the pic was probably signed by Marino. |

come to think of it that one does look too "girly" for him--his signature was very angular. I remember that the dual "C" was very abrupt-looking, but I know the one I got was for real since I was shaking the Rifleman's hand when I got it. |

I have not contacted American Memorabilia about this picture. I was formerly one of their authenticators. However I did attempt to write them over the Bruce Springsteen Gold Record debacle, which I wrote about here before, and they never answered me. I wrote to them repeatedly and never got an answer. In addition, a Bruce Springsteen expert had written to them about that item, and he never got a response. So writing to them seems futile, at least on my part. If anyone cares to write them about this - auctions@americanmemorabilia.com |

If there is a lawsuit, he probably ins't going to say much of anything here. Posting the case number and other basics is probably about all we can hope for. |

Wouldn't it be inappropriate if you are involved in a lawsuit to discuss it on a chatroom board? Why would anyone involved in a suit do that? Hal, what do you think? |

As far as I know, lawsuits are a matter of public record. I would think Bill Daniels would not make any comments about the suit, but posting it I think is not a problem. |
