Don't know how it applies to cards, but a vintage movie poster expert once told me that a poster restored from Poor to Near Mint is worth more than the Poor and less than the Near Mint. Luckily for movie buffs, movie posters are typically linen backed as part of restoration, so the restored poster is easy to identify. |
