Default T207 Davis blue C

Posted By: Bob Marquette

Thanks for posting the scan. As we have said many times before, printing freaks are not true variations. I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder though. I have seen numerous T206s which are lacking the red color but except for Sweeney, are not recognized as true variations. I have also seen orange back T206s instead of red, ditto. If no other blue C turns up, I would categorize it as a printing freak. Its value would be based on what the market would bear, there is always a market for printing freaks. I am trying not to sound like I have a sour grapes attitude (who me?) but this is not a true variation although I now concede that a blue C does exist.
