Like I have always thought - they did probably come in the Ty Cobb tobacco tins. The person mentions that his grandfather smoked Piedmont and eventually the Ty Cobb brand tobacco! Maybe it was only issued in a "test" market or for a very short period of time - explaining the rarity????? Nobody knows for certain. However, both the cards and tins are extremely scarce - there HAS to be a relation. |
