I was wondering exactly the same thing. A friend suggested that Pedro asked in, to exorcise his own demons since the Yankees have smacked him around pretty good. As it happened, he got smacked around again, so it was a pretty stupid move. He is scheduled to start game one on Saturday, isn't he? Just one theory, but baffling nonetheless.
