I had to enhance this picture a little cause it is under glass and the scan did not show up well, the actual color is more blue. |

I've posted this before, but it's my favorite: a c 1911 Saskatoon Quakers cigar box from the Western Canada Baseball League |

I'm not sure that it's my favorite but it's nice, it identifies the Champion 1901 Pirates, and I can post it |

Here is a 1938 Homestead Grays Scorecard with team picture including Buck Leonard (far left). The other side has a wrap-around photo which pictures Raymond Brown & Josh Gibson. |

Picking a favorite is difficult (basically impossible) for me. |

For me its probably this plaster wall-plaque featuring Ruth, Gehrig, and McCarthy. It was made in honor of the 1932 World Series victory (thanks again to Mike H. for finding this particular piece in an old auction catalog and kindly sending me a scan providing some great information on its creation). |

Very difficult to pick a favorite but right now it would be either the chalk Wichita Indian or the wooden Wichita Indians sign. |

Nice items and thanks for sharing. Interesting team panoramic of the 1922 Lynch Baseball "Bulldogs". The photo features Vasco Barton who is the person on the far left in his Ceveland uniform. Team was from Kentucky and played other coal mining clubs. Barton managed and played for the club and was drafted by Cleveland. He went to the majors without any farm club experience. |

Mike, I got this with some other items from Ralph Winegarner's estate. He didn't play for the Tigers so I don't know what the connection was. It's not for sale but will give you first shot should it ever become available. |

The Tigers piece is rare. I used to have one from the same series, but a Pirates... a very cool figural. I sold it for $175, and have regretted it ever since. That was over 10 years ago, and I have never seen another one since then. |

Mark, I've never seen the Pirates before either. I'm guessing it's from the 30's-40's era but leaning more towards the 30's. Would love to see that Pirates one. |

I agree... late '30s / early '40s. If I knew the Pirate was that rare, I would not have sold it (or would have at least snapped off a photo first). As I recall, the Pirate atop the ashtray was magnificant and unique... a mean snarling fellow. I have never seen another Pirate Mascot portrayed in that manner. |

Thanks Mark. I remember thinking about buying the other one as it was listed for around $300. I couldn't justify having two at that price though and I don't believe it got a bid either. I wonder if others were made? |
