19th Century Silver Hockey Napkin Ring

I was just looking through an old Canadians antique guide, and it indicated that Meriden had a Canadian operation in Hamilton, making a number of napkin rings, including several hockey and baseball. Not sure how to tell the difference between a Canadian or US item
