Good point Clint. I actually moved things around my office today and am going to build a nice oak case in a corner. I'm working on design elements now. |

Matt, I agree completely. I just watched two Spalding bats go higher than I've ever seen. A Keeler Gold Medal sold over $1100 and a Evers Gold Medal went for over $600. I've noticed that quality early bats are getting fewer and far between. |

Its funny Mike, I got the bat for the exact amount of my max bid. Exact same dollars and cents. Somebody could of bid 1 penny more and won. |

Nice shoot'n on the ring bat Brock...36" is a good size. Any maker? how about a close up of the ring and barrel end? It appears to have the classic (and all important to me) squared barrel end |

Hey, I finally added something baseball in the last year! Don't get too excited now...but it's the first thing I've seen that wasn't priced at a gazillion dollars. Will still look good next to the other pins I guess. |

No maker on the ring bat Carlton. I'll post some more pics shortly. Camera battery is currently dead. But the bat does have the squared off, flat top like you mentioned. Bat has several nice 19th century characteristics; long and heavy, center rings, flat top, and a miniscule little knob. |

Ooops Carlton, I logged in but I guess I forgot to fill in the name slot. Thanks for the info, I can't wait to read the writeup. That is great that it may be an early version. I know Hunts had one 2 years ago that had the same graphics, however in a slightly different orientation, with the little boy in the right corner, and the pennants in the upper left and right corner. |

Keith the NWU Pennant is Nebraska Wesleyan...which is also located in Lincoln..and I'm guessing by this point the Red swatch with the N on it is from the U of Nebraska. Heck the only Lincoln school your missing there is Union College. |

I think this pennant was listed the day after the first one ended. Seems like the seller probably saw the price the first one sold for and realized what a gem they had. Congrats Jim. |

Thanks guys. Nobody knows for sure how many styles and variations exist, but the Tigers seem to have been toward the top of the list when you consider design, quality, and variety. I love the fact that they dated so many pennants and incorporated unique design features to many. I only have 13 Tigers pennants, but I only collect thier pre 1950 pieces. |
