George Burke made these specifically for ballplayers and others associated with the game. I have seen many of them over the years and every one of them has come from a ballplayer's estate or a family member. Just in the past year I have seen one for the Cubs legendary stadium announcer Pat Pieper, one for a minor leaguer who played for the Fort Worth Cats and a couple from the estate of another player whose name escapes me right now, but a ton of his stuff hit the market this last year....Yankees guy??? They are interesting, but I have never seen one go for big money. Always in the $30-$50 range. |
