I've found their autograph personnel to be pretty careful on tough, valuable or obscure autographs. They have a deal with Jim Spence to review their stuff, I think.

Those T206's are great; wanna sell one?

I have collected autographed cards for years, first getting them signed by various old codgers at shows or through mail order private signings, then buying them on the secondary market. It is a great way to take a nice looking vg card and turn it into something really special.

I've got the following prewar cards:

1933 Goudey: Billy Herman, Chas. Gehringer
1934-36 Diamond Stars: Buddy Myer
1939 Playball: Harry Danning

I've also got a bunch of players from 1950's and 1960's sets, including the following:

1953 Bowman: Vic Raschi, Larry Doby, Al Rosen, Stan Musial
1955 Bowman: Enos Slaughter
1962 Bell Brand Potato Chips: Larry Sherry, Norm Sherry
1960s' Exhibit: Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle
1961 Scoops: Joe DiMaggio
1939-47 Salutations Exhibits: Luke Appling, Lou Boudreau

I've also gotten some really great boxing cards that were autographed: Benny Leonard (PC), Roy Jones Jr., Emanuel Steward (in person), Lennon Lewis (in person), Billy Conn, Willie Pep, Dana Rosenblatt, Lew Tendler, Tony Canzoneri, Jack Dempsey, Max Schmeling (still alive, BTW)
