I talked with the owner of this card. I said very little (which everyone knows is hard for me), as I feared I would be quoted on his web page. I think he beleives, or really really wants to beleive, that the card might be real. I've met before people who have obvious fakes, but are not about to be convinced that it's anything but real.

I occasionally have people who want an expert examination, but only if the expert's opinion is 'Yes, it's genuine.' Naturally, I say, 'Forget it.' .... My policy is: if you want my opinion I'll give it to you. If you don't want my opinion, don't ask for it.

Among other things that are humerous about his auction, is that he quotes himself as a source of information:

"This card has blue eyes which I've heard make it even more rare, possibly a premier card....."

The only person who ever said anything about a Wagner with blue eyes being a premier card is the seller (last two times he tried to sell it). In fact, I'd never heard the term 'premier card' until he first put up the card for action.

It looks like people are less and less interested. The bids were in the $200,000 range the first time he listed it. Now it cant even get a $5,000 bid
