Obviously, this is only to be used on a card you suspect you cannot live without, because if people are out there using sniping software, chances are THEY are willing to set the software at a very high bid number.

Let's face it- as options like sniping software become more prevelant, it's harder and harder to get the comparative bargains that could come from someone not having the time to make another bid after one they make 10 seconds before auction's close fails. SO- you have to be prepared to bid high if you want to guarantee success.
