I ran my 1936 Carreras "Dogs & Friend" Whippet card through one of these AI colorization things a while back. It came out very realistic looking.
I also ran some older black/white family photos at the same time and I was told that they looked great, but the colors they guessed for some of the clothing and background items were off based on what they remember. The technology (all AI) is moving so fast that even though it's only been a few months, there's a good chance it's noticeably better...which is concerning and neat...mostly neat, in this case.
