My guess is nobody on a really high level.
Not a Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, Mays, Clemente level. They all played in eras where there was less access, making the written accounts of their on field exploits legendary. And for a couple, their better off field things. Today there's so much access, nearly every game available at one point or another if not constantly on the internet. that a lot of what any player does doesn't seem as special. Certainly when it can be dragged down by other things they do that for better or worse cant' be considered apart from their on field acts. |
