An acquaintance of Earl's has been in touch, he spoke with him and shared my article.
Earl says that his bat knob said KID HELL which was his childhood nickname. Jon P. and I have both been able to find the words within the coverup, it definitely forms if you really just give it a good long stare. My thoughts: Pretty lame of Score to obfuscate something so benign. But coming off the 1989 Fleer stuff, I guess... Did any get out without the coverup? Maybe a proof or match photo thing?
