Ron was a good man. I bought my first W600 from him in the mid-1990’s at an east coast national—Bobby Wallace with a glassine envelope. Over the years I bought a lot from Ron and sold him a lot as well. He was always fair on both sides of the transactions. I know he’d had a heart monitor thing for the last 4-5 years but I still enjoyed seeing him at the National with that same smile and calling me Tommy. Prayers to his wife and sons and grandkids. He was an original.

Oh, no. I didn’t know. He helped me evaluate a number of game used items over the years. Good guy.

According to his Facebook page, Dave passed on May 8. He’d been in poor health for some time.

I googled and saw the obits. Dave was an icon when it came to knowledge about jerseys. And he battled health issues for years so it was always good to see him when I went to the Chicago NSCC in recent years.
