Default FS: October 1934 Colored Baseball & Sports Monthly

This is an extraordinarily rare copy of the October 1934 issues of Colored Baseball & Sports Monthly. Oscar Charleston on the cover. This magazine folded after 2 issues and I've seen references to maybe 2 or 3 other copies in the world. One is in Cooperstown files. Cover has writing (pencil) on it, heavy creases and some staining. Rest of the magazine is in much better shape. All pages intact. An incredible piece of baseball history. Also a small handwritten box score was stuck in magazine and will be included. Discussion throughout about integrating MLB, which obviously didn't happen for another 13 years.

Asking $2800 to me.

Hi Steve,

That's an amazing piece, though well beyond my budget. This might be a bit much to ask, but as a favor would you consider taking a picture of the Max Rosner article only so as to make it legible? I'd love to read it. I've spent a lot of time researching semi-pro ball, particularly NYC semi-pro ball, and Max Rosner was the owner of the top semi-pro team the Brooklyn Bushwicks. Irwin N. Rosee, author of the profile, wrote a regular semi-pro/Negro Leagues column in the Brooklyn Times Union.

At a hospital waiting on a friend but will get you a copy. Can you DM me an email. Would Probably be easier to get you and good readable copy.
The Brooklyn Bushwicks actually played in Queens, right?
