I'm a lot more active over on the postwar side of things, but am a Cubs fan and was happy to pickup these 4 earlier today - from a locally discovered collection which then got sent in to SGC:

Default Wheaties mini box

Series 14 mini Wheaties panels are extremely difficult to find. I was more than thrilled to pick up a complete box, minus the top. Not sure if this one was verified as existing.

Default 1960 Victoria Rosebuds Program

I have several late 1950’s Rosebud Programs ( all in great shape) , but today my first 1960 Rosebud Program arrived. Won it on eBay. The manager for 1960 team was Johnny Pesky, who had played for the Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers.
Love the Dizzy Dean ad on the inside,”Baseball Time is Falstaff Time”.

After a couple years of not picking anything vintage up, I won this beauty from the Collector Connection Auction ... super excited! The description reads the front wouldn't be out of place in a PSA 4 holder, but the back is a mess - that is *precisely* what I go for

Newer cards, but vintage players. Crazy they are 25+ years old at this point.

The Ruth is the 500 Club version which is /50 and almost never shows up.

I couldn’t resist adding these two Cycle 460 HOFer. Very tough combo for both of these guys. Trying to decide if they go to the trading stock stack or use them as upgrades in the HOF set that’s not part of the backs line. The PSA 5 Wheat might to too pretty compared to the rest of my guys, so having a hard time trying to decide.

Hoping to do some selling and trading on the BST over the long weekend!

Bob

Looks similar to 2 Jacks I had awhile back. It's the first time I've handled 1914 and couldn't believe how thin they are. I think calling them "papers" would more accurately reflect what they are

I agree Michael, they are SUPER thin, it’s amazing it survived the 111 year journey and there is that much left to the “card” or “paper”.

I thought this may be interesting to a few of you. I am not quite sure what it is. It is about ~11 x 11 - ebay pickup. Cardboard. I think it may be a display top.

A back upgrade from my Piedmont 350 Huggins in the HOFer set, showed up in the mail today from REA. I thought I had the SOV backed Lajoie Throwing, but no such luck..

I’m pulling out some stuff that I have upgraded backs on over the last little bit, so should have some goodies on the BST shortly!

Enjoy,
Bob

Default Tough To Find Original Issue Pride Of The Yankees

Original issue lobby cards from Pride of the Yankees are very tough to find. Babe Ruth is shown in just one of the 8 cards, and that particular card is nearly impossible to fine. Glad to grab this at Heritage last night. Such a tough one to find. Condition is solid as well.

Default Three down, 101 to go

Thanks to Tyler and John for these three. There is another in the way, which will get the wish list down to an even 100, but it won’t arrive until late next week.
