I've never seen this before -- so this predated the Bond Bread portrait??

Two of these have auctioned in the last month including this exact one it's a larger Canadian newspaper issue insert blank bank. These were issued in 1946 Jackie's at least and other players ran from 1943-1947.

I don’t think so. There may be a few in there but I don’t recognize most/any. My set was entirely in new SGC flips, so anything not in that flip could not be from my set.

When a T206 Plank is lot #482, you might have a stacked auction.

Not to mention a Gehrig rookie as lot 751. Impressive auction.

Yeah, I did a double take on that one. Amazing.

Agree with Jeff! The best REA auction in years. Now we'll see if the stock market affects prices. I'm scratching my head on some of the grades on the cards in the SF Hess lot. Here's one I can't understand.

Finally got to finish the catalog after dinner and was surprised to find the Paul Skenes Flagship Platinum 1/1 RC near the back. I know ultra modern is not the most popular era on this side of the board, but the Debut RPA got a ton of talk going in the hobby and this is easily a top 5 card of importance for those that collect him. It’s a card I could see Goldin doing a one off premier auction for and in REA there are 2200+ lots ahead of it. I’ve always had the belief that key cards will do well in any mainstream auction house because the real wallets in the hobby don’t miss much, but I’m curious if going with a predominantly pre-war auction house is going to cost it some eyes without the house giving it the Don West treatment to every media outlet that cares to listen like some others do.

Jay, if you were the grader on this rare Hess, what grade would you bestow on it?
