Default 1970/71 Dad’s Cookies

I was on eBay and purchased a single from this set today. When it arrives, I’ll post it here.

These cards are oversized (won’t fit in a “regular” top loader) and only carry the Player’s Association license, so they’re not extremely expensive. Still, the set has “star power” and it’s from the early ‘70s.

I figured it would be nice to have a thread devoted to these cards. If you’ve got ‘em, post a couple. If you’ve got info, links, or stories about these, feel free to post those, too.

Yes nice cards. My brother and I each bought a complete set in the early 1980's for $10.00. Along the way until now I bought several other singles and a Flyers team set, and some stars like Bernie Parent, and Gordie Howe. They seem very easy to get with sharp corners and nice centering. I always liked them. I will try to post my PSA 9 Parent if I get a chance and if I still have it.

Awesome, congrats. When you get the set, please leave a post/picture showing how you'll store it. Given the somewhat non-traditional size (1 7/8" x 5 3/8") of these cards, I'm wondering what storage ideas people may have.

I only have one, and I believe, IIRC, via another members advice/thoughts, there are very few graded 10's of Bobby Orr around.

This arrived in the mail yesterday. It’s from the same year as Clarke’s rookie card; however, cost me much, much less than the 70/71 OPC.

For the moment, it’s my only one. I’ll be picking up at least one more (Bernie Parent) and then likely the Flyers team set.
