My high school kids the next day were full of conspiracy theories that Mike Tyson threw the fight. What world were they living in? I had to tell one class that throwing a fight is serious consequences, and Mike Tyson wasn't going to throw a fight. And it would be the end of Jake Paul's boxing career if he had set it up.

Mike Tyson obviously had a strategy: circle the interior of the ring and let Paul come to him. But he never unleashed, which I was expecting in the first and last round. He made a nice effort in the 1st, settled into a groove, and never left the groove in the 8th. I was really expecting him to try and land a KO in the 8th. It was boring, and he looked old and washed up. But his pay day is big! Like Peter said, amazing work by the organizers to get us pumped up for a deflated balloon.
