Default Canada Post Strike

Do not send any mail to Canada at this time. There is no mail delivery until their third strike in about 10 years is resolved.

Any time a strike has happened, several pieces of my expected mail have mysteriously vanished.

Please use a courier, or just wait until this blows over.

I bought a very cheap card on Ebay from Canada and the seller sent me a note to let me know delivery would be delayed. I appreciated that he reached out and didn't let me wonder it was in transit purgatory.

If anyone has anything in Canada that needs shipping via the postal system (as opposed to courier), I've learned that there are companies that will take mail over the border to the U.S. and send on your behalf. The fees appear fairly nominal, especially if it's something that you'd wish to receive faster but don't want to pay the pricier courier fees for. Might be worth doing some research if you find this is a service that would come in handy. Things haven't gotten so unbearable for me as of yet, so I have not looked into this option. From what I have heard, a local company charges $6 CAD per letter for this service.
